Executive Foresight Intensive
FORMAT
One-day intensive
PARTICIPANTS
10–20 people
DELIVERY
In person
The Executive Foresight Intensive gives your leadership team a day to step back from immediate pressures and think together about what comes next. This in-person workshop creates space to explore difficult questions, challenge familiar assumptions, and build confidence in your institution’s ability to adapt.
The experience
Through facilitated discussion and interactive exercises, your team explores how emerging changes could unfold and what they might mean for your students, institution, and community. Together, you consider different possibilities, compare risks and opportunities, and assess your readiness to respond—without having to agree on a single prediction of the future.
The outcomes
The engagement turns that shared exploration into three takeaways: a Map of Plausible Futures, a Risk Matrix, and Action Pathways to guide next steps. But the deliverables are not the primary goal; rather, the goal is for your team to leave with practical foresight skills, fresh ideas, and a stronger sense of what it can do today to shape tomorrow.
Best Fit
Works best when
- Attended by curious senior leaders representing different perspectives
- Conversation centers on a specific existential challenge facing the group
- Participants want to see different possibilities, not defend current ground
Not designed for
- Predicting one “correct” future
- Producing management consulting deliverables
- Building full proficiency in Strategic Foresight
The Executive Foresight Intensive helps leadership teams solve these four challenges
Boosting Morale
Sustained pressure makes it hard to think beyond the next crisis. The Intensive helps leaders regain perspective and focus on what they can shape.
Generating New Ideas
Daily demands leave little time to explore beyond the familiar. The Intensive gives leaders a structured way to generate and test new possibilities.
Managing Risk
When conditions shift together, risks are hard to compare. The Intensive examines likelihood, impact, and readiness so leaders can make more robust decisions.
Building a Funding Case
Funding new priorities requires a clear rationale, credible need, and practical path forward. The Intensive helps teams sharpen that case; it does not guarantee funding.
